Ebony Daniel And Boyfriend Charlie Martin Arrested After Baby Ingests Cocaine …

A 13-month-old baby ingested crack cocaine that his grandmother and her boyfriend left out on a table, MyFoxAtlanta reports.

The baby’s mother, 17, brought her son into Piedmont Newnan Hospital in central Georgia Saturday night when she realized the child was unwell.

Later that day, hospital personnel called the cops after medical professionals confirmed the presence of cocaine in the baby’s system, according to MSNBC.

At the time of the ingestion, the baby was in the care of the boy’s grandmother, Ebony Daniel, and her boyfriend, Charlie Martin.

“We do know from speaking to a couple of witnesses that the cocaine was sitting open on the table,” Sgt. Lee Gragg told MyFoxAtlanta.

Police issued warrants for Daniel, 34, and Martin, 22, early this week. They eventually charged both suspects with possession of cocaine, cruelty to children in the first degree and reckless conduct, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

The mother was also in the Palmetto residence at the time of the child’s drug consumption.

However, police are uncertain of her role in the matter, MyFoxAtlanta reports.

The baby has been released from the hospital and is expected to make a full recovery.

Sadly, the Georgia case is not the only incident in recent weeks in which infants have ingested drugs.

On July 14, Lorena Vizina and Justin Robinson allegedly left heroin within their 1-year-old daughter’s reach in Nevada.
