Breastfeeding mothers are advised by paediatricians to avoid drink cow’s milk and eating beef for this reason. Be cautious with soy milk also as it has been linked to cancer.

Don’t think child minders, nursery and school teachers are qualified to make health decisions for your children. You are responsible for your child’s health and never think you’re being a difficult parent if you specify what you want your child to eat or more importantly not eat. Find out what school dinners consist of and if you don’t agree with them, make packed lunches or request alternative meals be put on the menus (there’s no harm in asking).

Whole foods (wholegrain rice, raw fruit and vegetable, lentils, beans, nuts, seeds, seaweeds etc) provide longer lasting energy, fibres, protein and essential oils which all build beautiful children with healthy organs and alert brains.

Consult nutrition consultants, homeopaths, herbalist and allergy testing centres before making and appointment with your GP, see the money as an investment for you to learn about your child’s health, pay attention and get them to explain everything. The more you learn, the more you can teach your children. What Parents Need To Know About Their Kids Nutrition Now

In this article I would like to discuss several tips, tricks, and tactics that just about any parent can use to help figure out whether or not their kid is eating as nutritiously as they should, and what they should do about it if they aren’t.

One of the biggest difficulties parents have, especially newer parents, is getting their kids to eat at all, let alone getting them to eat a nutritious diet. You would be amazed at the different extremes some children will go through to get out of eating foods they don’t like. Unfortunately nutrition is an incredibly important part of any developing child’s life and it’s not something that we can just pass off and not worry about and that is what I’d like to talk about in this article today.

Let’s start out with breakfast. What exactly can a parent do to get their kid to eat a good breakfast when the kids says they’re not hungry? The fact of the matter is that some children really aren’t hungry when they first wake up in the morning.

These kids appetites usually surface around the middle of the morning. If this describes your kid then don’t insist that they eat in the morning before they leave the house. Pack some snacks that the child can eat in the car or on the bus on the way to school. Things like granola bars or juice boxes or cheese and crackers and fruit are perfect for this sort of thing.

What about vitamins? Should children take a daily multivitamin? If your kid eats a varied diet that is already well balanced and nutritious then they definitely do not need to take a multivitamin. If on the other hand you have a stubborn child who does not eat well and won’t eat breakfast, you may consider giving them a multivitamin. At the very least, it won’t do them any harm. You should give them the vitamin either at supper or at breakfast because food will help the body to absorb vitamins better.

What should you do when your child refuses to eat vegetables? This is a tricky one and you can often substitute fruit to good effect. Also try substituting different grains for vegetables. Things like pasta or rice sometimes work better. You might also try preparing the vegetables differently. Try steaming them instead of cooking them for instance. Some children will only eat one or two different vegetables. That’s fine! Feed them that vegetable over and over again.

When you come right down to it, almost all children have a sort of internal food regulator that tells them when and what to eat. This can often be genetically programmed and really operates on a level where the kid doesn’t even realize it… subconsciously. Your childs eating habits will change over time and bad habits will disappear for the most part on their own. As long as you’re not feeding them nothing but candy all the time, you really should be okay.

Child obesity is one of the alarming situations in most of the countries in the world. Obesity among children can lead to several health problems. The number of mentally ill among the children of divorced parents

The risk for psychiatric illness in adults is nearly four times higher among children whose parents divorced before he met his 17 years.
This is one of the conclusions of a scientific study in which experts are the first to investigate a hypothesis that the father of psychoanalysis, Sigmund Freud, posed at the beginning of this century about the influence of the loss of parents on the mental health of their children when they mature.
Among the mentally ill studied and who lost their parents, influenced by the divorce between the parents proved to be significantly higher compared to the loss by death of one of them, according to investigators. The parallel study was conducted among mentally healthy persons who served as a control group and others who suffer from depression, manic-depressive tendencies and schizophrenia, and taking into account age, sex and its provenance.
One manifestation of this study was the parallel with “pairs” of a sick and healthy, and 79 formed to study depression, for many manic depressive tendencies and the same number to discuss cases of schizophrenia.
The loss of a parent at a young age, even 17 years old, was defined as a result of death or because those children were abandoned forever, and so came to determine, for example, that 29, 1 percent of patients studied lost that depression in childhood. This percentage in the comparison group was only 7.6 per cent, or 3.8 times higher among those who lost their parents in childhood and adolescence and adults being ill. He also warned that the loss of the mother had much more influence than the father between the mentally ill. 17.7 percent of manic depressive studied lost one parent before reaching 17 years, almost three times more than among the comparison group or control, and was almost three times higher among those suffering from schizophrenia. In cases where the loss occurred before the age of nine, these mental illnesses are affected more than four times (4.3) as its “peer” not sick.
